Single channel HD video, encaustics on newsprint, pleated silk, metal trough, lichen dye extract, flamework glass vessels. Dimensions variable.

This installation reflects the radical possibility for sentient conversation with the non-human if only to connect us to our own visceral wilderness. Video, textile installations, shibori flags, and flamework glass vessels filled with lichen dye call to mind the atmosphere and paradoxically the human body.

The risograph-printed catalog for the exhibit includes an introductory essay by Julia Schwadron, director MFA-IA SNU. Design and writing by Jean Brennan.

Tahoe Gallery, Incline Village, Nevada. Installation view.
