Plant One on Me is a community engagement project developed for Subcircle’s artist residency in Biddeford Maine, August 2021, in collaboration with Rachel Zollinger.

We designed and risograph-printed 200 zines which were distributed locally ahead of our arrival. The interactive piece asks participants to respond to various prompts about their relationship with a specific plant in their environment. Responses were part of a public exhibition that explores the theme of plants, place and belonging.

The exhibit also included programming that demonstrated visual methods to explore color in plants through haptic printing on textiles and chromatography to demonstrate the separation of pigments.
